Alba McGowan
Actual letters from friends and parents of students.I have had the pleasure of knowing Alba McGowan since the summer of 2004. I was introduced to Alba and her program Swim Kids Swim, LLC through some friends who were extremely complimentary of Alba's unparalleled skills as a private swimming instructor, teaching survival swimming techniques to children. Alba's program is tailored to the individual needs of children and their families, making efficient use of time, as well as steady documented progress. Alba began training my two and four year old boys how to survive a sudden plunge into the water, and five years later she is helping them refine complex swimming strokes.
Alba is an extremely positive person. She is patient, gentle, compassionate and yet firm. Alba encourages children to progress as she provides for them a safe haven as they attempt to master new skills that initially cause uneasiness. Through this trusting supportive relationship, Alba helps children find success, and with this success, a new confidence in themselves. My children eagerly anticipate working with Alba every summer and they enjoy practicing the skills that she has given them all year long.
I strongly recommend Alba McGowan and her program Swim Kids Swim. I credit Alba for my children's love of the water and for the safe, careful way in which they approach swimming.

I am writing this letter based on the wonderful experience we have had with swim instructor Alba McGowan and the Infant Aquatics program. I have been fortunate enough to have two of my children taught by Alba in recent years and would highly recommend Alba to anyone that has children and wants to build a strong swimming foundation.
My daughter took lessons from Alba when she was two and successfully acquired skills that not only made her a strong swimmer but gave her the confidence to be in the water at such a young age and enjoy it!
My 15 month old son just completed the program today and we could not be any more pleased with his progress. We are amazed that at his young age he is able to stay calm in the water, keep his head above water and float on his back for an extended period of time. The skills that Alba has taught him give us peace of mind that if an accident were to occur, he would be able to survive. It was just last week at my older child's lessons that our son fell into the pool and immediately flipped onto his back and floated on his own. Alba McGowan is a well trained instructor and the Infant Aquatics program works, bottom line!
