FAQ
Q. Why ENAI?
A.
- Children are naturally drawn to water, and they need to be ready to react in case of an accident.
- Our primary concern is safety. Children not only learn to swim, they are taught survival skills that may save their lives.
- Our results are visible in weeks, not months or years.
Q. How long will it take my child to learn?
A. Every kid learns at his own pace. Just as other skills (walking, talking, etc), every kid is different. In average, children learn in 20 to 24 lessons.
Q. What can children learn in 10 minutes?
A.
- Babies and kids are not used to making big physical efforts for long periods of time. Lessons are intense and exhausting. You will be surprised how tired your child leaves the pool. Just imagine an adult who has no exercise habits... how long do you think he will last running? No more than 10 minutes.
- Short, constant repetitions give better results than long lessons fewer times a week.
- Lessons are one-on-one. Your child will get 10 minutes of FULL attention by the instructor. Other (longer) group lessons have kids waiting by the side of the pool for their turn.
Q. What is the parent's role during lessons?
A. Mom and/or Dad are invited to come in the water the first days so the child will have a fun time relating to the instructor. After a bond between the instructor and the child is formed, the child comes in alone.
During the time of the child's lessons, mom and dad must give positive reinforcement at home. Especially during the first weeks, the child may pass through rough times in class, it is important for the child to feel support from parents.
When the child has completed his learning, Mom and/or Dad are invited in the water again to understand what the child has learned.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE ENAI TO VISIT YOUR CITY OR TOWN:
It is possible for an instructor to visit your location for a month and give an intensive course. In these intensive courses, kids take 2 lessons a day (with an hour break between lessons) and learn the technique in half the estimated time of a regular course.
If you live in an area with open water, lessons for older kids will be held at the pool AND also in open water. Older kids learn to react to waves, falling off a boat, etc.
It is required to get a group of 20 kids together, have the right facilities, and cover the instructor's travel expenses. Contact us to learn more.
