Actual letters from friends and parents of students.Infant Aquatics (IA) has proven to be a great experience for our daughter. Because of the specialized training she received she now has a number of skills that greatly increase the chance of her surviving a water accident. On top of that, at 16 months old she really enjoys swimming!
Jolyn was an excellent IA instructor for Halla. She gently helped her through her difficult periods and enthusiastically guided her as she excelled. We would recommend her without reservation.

Jolyn has been the most patient, calming and helpful teacher to my 4.5 and 2.5 year old children, Sophie & Luke. Before we started swimming lessons with Jolyn, my husband and I felt confident as parents that our kids were safe just because they had their floaties on at all times whenever we were in the water. But, we completely realize now that floaties are absolutely false protection and do not allow the kids to really experience their true aquatic capabilities.
Seeing the transformation from the first class where she held them just to get them comfortable in the water to now has been amazing. Sophie went from holding onto us and being intimidated to now being able to breathe so easily, do the starfish and sidestrokes and laps! Luke, at his young age, can hold his breath under water and swim to us as we hold our arms out!
We were recently on vacation and enjoying the hotel pool. All the adults around us could not believe that Sophie and Luke were so active and could "hold their own". Everybody kept pointing and making comments and clapping and congratulating us on their skills! I actually saw one Mom take off her son's (approximately 3 years old?) floaties to see if he could manage on his own and unfortunately he did not know what to do... it made me so proud and confident to know that they have acquired a lifelong lesson in survival and appreciation of the water.
Jolyn has been an inspiration not only to the kids but to me personally as a Mom. As an adult woman I have to admit that I do not personally know how to swim myself. Seeing my kids now as "fishes" in the water has inspired me to sign up for my own adult beginner lessons. If they can do it, surely I can! Also, a close friend of mine pointed out that if I can't even swim to save my own kids from drowning and they themselves can't, who will?
We will be forever grateful to Jolyn for this opportunity. I highly recommend her to every parent that wants their children to learn a lifelong skill that will give them many years of confidence and enjoyment!

Dear Jolyn, we are so excited and delighted to have our kids Preston (4.5 yrs) and Eloise (2.5 yrs) in your Infant Aquatics classes. We had been doing bi-weekly classes at our local pool and while they were fun I remember thinking – it's going to take forever for the kids to learn to swim! In our short time with you I am so excited to see the quick progress both kids are making. They talk about the lessons all of the time and enjoy playing "swimming lessons" while at home, which tells me that they are having a great time and absorbing all you are teaching. You are a wonderful teacher and I can see how you truly relate to and care for each child you teach. These classes and your approach has made such an impact on our children kids.

Jolyn has a gift not only to transform your childs swimming ability, but confidence in the water! I To watch my 3 year old and 19 month old each day learn new skills was exciting and to come out with 2 swimming children was beyond our expectations!

Do yourself a favor, and let Jolyn help your child/ren learn to be safe in the water. It is astounding to watch the weekly progress and the gentle way your child/ren learn confidence and skill in the water from their teacher. This is an opportunity to encourage healthy attitudes towards new challenges, and to support your child with the highest quality instruction as they learn a new skill.

Hi Jo-
I just want to thank you for teaching Zane, my two year old how to swim. My sister was giving her 3 year old swim lessons at her local pool in the chicago area and we were discussing our experiences and she could not believe that Zane put his face under the water because after two weeks they were still working on blowing bubbles.
Zane is not scared of the water and loves to show his dad how he can swim under the water and do his "star fish". It makes me feel so good that Zane is so comfortable in the water. When I tell him we are going swimming he yells out JO JO and smiles!!! When we are swimming people are always impressed on how he can swim and at his age.
I now can relax a little while I am at the pool and enjoy watching him get excited and play in the water.

We could not be happier with the experience of Infant Aquatics with Jolyn! She is wonderful with our daughter, always has a smile – and really takes time with each child to ensure that they are acquiring all the skills necessary for water safety. With a one-year old, we didn't know what to expect from lessons – and we've been just thrilled with the progress our daughter has made. She is floating on her own, she can right herself in the water and flip over into a float, and she is actually eager to get into the water (vs. being terrified when we started lessons)! All of this, and we are only on week 5 of our private classes!! I highly recommend this program – and we are looking forward to lots of pool time next summer.
