About Jodi

My name is Jodi Beard and I am the proud owner of Little Fins. My husband and I reside in Rome, Georgia and have been blessed with two beautiful sons. Since my children were constantly around pools and lakes, I wanted to give them the skills to survive the unthinkable. And of course, I also wanted to give them the water knowledge and techniques that would help them have the most fun in the aquatic world.

I discovered Infant Aquatics and was amazed at how much common sense it made. Their philosophy was so different, and the more I learned about the program, the more I wanted to be involved in it.

I am now proud to be a certified Infant Aquatic Survival instructor, having spent over 100 hours of intensive hands on training with a master instructor. I have also completed academic study in the areas of child development, behavioral psychology and infant physiology.

I invite you to visit our facilities and encourage you to speak with others who are benefiting from our knowledge and expertise. This program's goal is to teach your child to survive an aquatic accident, while also learning to enjoy a lifetime of fun in the water.

THE FOLLOWING ARE EXPERTS FROM A V3 MAGAZINE FEATURE ARTICLE ON 'LITTLE FINS WITH JODI BEARD':
Jodi Beard personalizes each lesson for each child – going at their pace but also pushing forward for success. She says her foremost priority is to make sure the child learns how to SAFELY enjoy water... Being a loving mother and motivated teacher, Jodi has a special way with kids, and each little person quickly becomes fond of her, learns to trust her, and allows her to teach them life-changing skills and lessons.
Check out the amazing videos on her website of babies one would expect to be learning their first steps –actually swimming in the water with the dexterity of a much older child. With all the pride of a good teacher, Jodi says, "Everyone should take a look at those videos. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and those videos say it all."
Jodi adds, "For the older kids, any child that is already walking, I also teach them how to swim and how to float independently. They'll learn to float as long as they may need to in cases where they can't get out of the water or to the side of the pool. You watch this transition of these kids coming through who don't know how to hold their breath, or open their eyes, or be under water, let alone kick or swim or float. By the end they are jumping in and swimming and floating. It is amazing to watch them and think that I had a part in that."
So this is the right Summer program if you want to see your baby boy or girl start swimming like Nemo or even floating and frolicking in the water like the Little Mermaid. Little Fins, dedicated to safety first, will give your child a strong foundation for a lifetime of water skills, and allow him or her to focus on the second most important thing in the summer: fun.
