"My daughter Millie began with Miss Jodi when she was 18 months old. Within a week she could swim underwater and hold her breath for short distances. She is fearless and her grandparents have a pool- a scary combination for a mom! I did not have confidence in my own ability to teach her to swim, much less save herself if she were to fall in. I knew that these classes were a must. It was hard work for a little one, but by the end of our lessons Millie could swim all the way across her grandparent's very large pool completely unassisted! The peace of mind the Infant Aquatics classes gave me as a parent is priceless. While you can never be too careful, and we never leave her unattended near the pool, I know that she is not afraid of the water and knows exactly what to do once she is in. It makes being near the pool fun and relaxing for the entire family. No floaties for us! We cannot recommend Miss Jodi's class highly enough. "I have taken my daughter to swim lessons multiple years. Frustratingly, she never developed any lasting skills. Each time we entered the water she essentially became a leech and would panic if I so much as removed one arm. Floaties or a raft where mandatory. I worked with her one summer and my only progress was for her to stand alone in the water if I was within two feet.
Putting her head under the water, let alone open her eyes, was blasphemy. Jodi Beard with LITTLE FINS has been a blessing in what my daughter has learned in 6 short weeks. My daughter was scared of the water and would scream to test her boundaries, putting all my faith in Jodi, at times I had to leave and walk away from the lesson because my presence was a hindrance.
IN FOUR(4) DAYS, my daughter was opening her eyes under water, holding her breathe under water, could swim to and from the shallow end to the midpoint, and could flip to and from a survival float.
ASTOUNDED...SO PROUD...FILLED WITH PEACE THAT MY CHILD HAD THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS OF POOL SAFETY MASTERED IN SUCH A SHORT TIME!!!! Things I assumed took years to master. My daughter was barely 6 years old when she started and I'm indebted and speechless with the speed of her mastering these skills. What joy my daughter has in swimming could not make a mother happier.
