FAQ

Is there a sibling discount?
Yes, there is a $50 discount for siblings registered at the same time.

Why are your lessons more expensive than others?
Actually, they are not. Keep in mind, that you are buying private lessons for your child. Instead of your child being one of many, depending on the student / teacher ratio, our lessons are one-on-one with your child and the teacher being the only ones in the water. With our undivided attention, in just 3 - 6 weeks, your child will have a fighting chance to survive an aquatic accident, along with the fundamental skills to safely enjoy the water. No other program can come close to what we can teach your child in a matter of weeks. We encourage you to shop around, but compare the results achieved and the timeframe involved, as much as pricing.

Why do your lessons work, when other lessons have failed?
The reason our lessons are so effective is that we have professional, mature, highly skilled instructors, a proven method developed over nearly 40 years, and an individualized approach to maximize your child's learning experience.

What else sets you apart from other learn-to-swim programs?
Our facility is dedicated strictly to swim instruction for children. Since we are not a recreation center, health club or hotel, your child is taught in an environment that is not cluttered with uses other than what your child is there for... swimming lessons. No lap swimmers, water aerobics, hotel guests or other distractions exist at our school. In addition, our 90 degree pool allows your child to relax during lessons. Our water is 8°-10° warmer than most recreation centers and health clubs, and according to the United States Swim School Association, 90° is the optimum water temperature for teaching young kids to swim.

When are private lessons scheduled?
7:00 am - 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday

Where are private lessons scheduled?
All lessons are taught at the SWIM•FLOAT•SWIM! indoor pools off Ken Pratt Boulevard in southwest Longmont. See map for address and directions.

How do I enroll?
Call Judy at 303-499-2229 or email judy@infantaquatics.com to arrange lesson observation. Stop by the pool, complete registration forms and pay the non-refundable $80 fee ($30 for siblings) to secure a slot on the schedule Reserve a time slot for your child.

How Soon Can We Start?
We start new students every Monday, whenever there are openings on the schedule. Once the schedule is full, your child will be placed on a waiting list.

When Can We Join a Group Class?
Upon completion of private lessons, all students are encouraged to join a group class for retention, enjoyment and skill enhancement. The cost of the session will be pro-rated according to the number of weeks remaining in the current session.

This 4-week program teaches infants six to twelve months to roll over from a face down or submerged position onto their backs to relax and breathe, while fully clothed, in preparation for joining a group Aquababies class. Infant Aquatics (12 months - 4 years)
$24 per private 10 minute lesson
24 lesson commitment
$80 one-time registration fee

This 6-week program teaches toddlers and younger children the swim-float-swim sequence. Children will learn to swim a short distance with face fully submerged, to roll onto their back to float and rest whenever they need to breathe, and to flip back onto their tummy to continue to swim to safety while fully clothed. The swim-float-swim sequence serves as the foundation for future stroke development and prepares our students to advance into our Aquababies and FunDay group lessons. Lessons are one-on-one, 4 days a week (M-Tu-W-Th), 10 minutes long for 6 consecutive weeks.
Cost: $576 + registration fee

Swim Wizards (4 years and up)
$48 per private 20 minute lesson
12 lesson commitment
$80 one-time registration fee

This program is for children 4 years and older. Because older children have more stamina and longer attention spans, their private one-on-one lessons are 20 minutes long. Children will learn to perform the swim-float-swim sequence in deep water for 30-50 feet in preparation for introductory stroke technique group classes. They will be able to perform all of their skills while fully clothed. In addition, they have the option of attending either 2 days a week (M/W or Tu/Th) for 6 consecutive weeks or our fast track program consisting of 4 days a week (M-Tu-W-Th) for 3 consecutive weeks.
Cost: $576 + registration fee
