Actual letters from friends and parents of students.First I wanted to thank you for every thing you have done for Grant, Reese, and me, too! I have always known deep down that I was doing the right thing, but there were definitely times of doubt because of Grant's reaction to swimming. (a lot of anxiety on both ends!) You helped both of them swim & taught them the skills they need for "survival" and also continually gave me confidence & reassurance that I was doing the right thing. You helped me see the line between being sensitive to Grant's fears & not "feeding" into them. So a big thank you to you!!!
I also HAD to tell you we went to the pool tonight and Grant decided on the way he was going to swim in the big pool. By the time we left he was jumping off the side & swimming to Reid. Reese also did everything he did. If he swam to the steps, she swam to the steps...it was AMAZING!!! a definite breakthrough night.

I am so impressed with the progress Sutton has made in only 3 lessons. It is truly amazing to watch you with him.....even with his resistance, your approach works. He was so proud after the lesson when his older brother and sister were praising him on what a good job he did. It was so sweet how protective they were of him.
Anyway, I would like to go ahead and move forward with lessons for Loren and Sophia. They never did the full clothing test at Emler and I think that is so important. I think Loren is a good swimmer but I'm not sure what he would do if he actually fell into a body of water unprepared. Sophia is not yet at the same level as Loren so she may need more work.

I wanted to give you an update on the kiddos. They're both doing very well with their swimming. Quay is very comfortable and confident with the swimming and floating on his back. We don't even need to run him through tests when we get in the pool. He has now become interested in diving down into the water. He tries to go down and touch the drain or the light. He hasn't figure out that you have to exhale to lose your buoyancy so it's pretty funny watching him thrash a bit trying to get all the way under the water. He loves his new found freedom of swimming all over the pool without having mom and dad right there at his side.

Thanks Tracey! We are back home and finally feeling a bit settled. Harper was talking about you in the tub the other night with his tubby friends and telling them that after they swim, they get to have a lollipop. I guess I'll have to start that tradition here. :)
Thanks again for everything. I'm so glad we did the lessons with you.

Evyn and Drew have been taking survival swim lessons for 3 and 4 weeks respectively. They are both doing awesome and Drew has his "clothes on" test today and should be done officially as of tomorrow! It is so amazing to see your little ones swim (and float) in such a short amount of time!
