Todd and Melany Ubel
Todd and Melany Ubel are the owners of Infant Aquatics North, a swim school that specializes in teaching children the Infant Aquatic Survival techniques. Their goal is to provide families in Brighton and Weld County access to results oriented swimming instruction, advancing students from water safety to a lifetime of aquatic enjoyment.
Todd and Melany are the parents of four young children: Chance, Hope, Piper and Bailey. All four have been schooled in the Infant Aquatic Survival techniques from the age of six months. Bailey is a very proficient swimmer, and the older three have advanced to Stroke School. Both Todd and Melany love working with their children. Todd also coaches Chance in baseball and hockey. Melany is home schooling the girls. Before becoming involved with Infant Aquatics, the Ubels designed and built their dream home.
Melany is a Colorado native and grew up in the Brighton area. She worked in sales and as a customer service representative for an airline while going to college to study Electrical Engineering. She also has done graphic design and marketing for several national financial institutions and for a local information and technology company. Prior to owning Infant Aquatics North she was a stay at home mother for her four children.
Todd grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and received a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Missouri at Rolla. He later went on to receive his MBA from Texas Tech while working for a pipeline company. In 1993 he moved to Colorado to be with Melany and worked as a controller for a manufacturing and a construction company.
Todd and Melany are certified in adult, child and infant CPR and First Aid. They are certified instructors of Infant Aquatic Survival. They are also members of the United States Swim Schools Association (USSSA).
